Mission:
The It's A God Thing Team is dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus Christ as our primary mission. Our goal is to lead the lost to Christ and deepen the faith of believers. We follow Jesus' command to make disciples of all nations, fostering spiritual growth and mentorship within communities, particularly in Honduras.
Who We Are:
Comprised of diverse individuals from different backgrounds and professions, our team is united by a calling to serve. From medical professionals to educators and retirees, we are committed to fulfilling God's purpose in our lives. Led by Larry Guthrie, our team embodies the spirit of service and compassion.
Where We Serve:
Our team serves in various locations, including the Bay Island of Utila, Belaire, and other regions. We follow God's guidance, going wherever there is a need for our services.
Outreach Initiatives:
Our outreach efforts include medical and eye clinics, providing essential healthcare services to underserved communities. Through these clinics, we offer medical treatment, vision tests, and distribution of glasses, alongside prayer and spiritual support. Additionally, we engage with children through activities, building relationships and sharing God's love.
Medical Clinics:
Our medical clinics address a range of chronic and acute conditions, focusing on prevention and treatment. We dispense vitamins, medication, and perform minor surgeries, collaborating with local medical facilities for comprehensive care.
Eye Clinics:
The eye clinics conduct vision tests and distribute glasses to improve vision for those in need. With an inventory of readers and donated glasses, we aim to provide suitable prescriptions to enhance vision and quality of life.
AHMEN Christmas Shoe Box Ministry:
A significant aspect of our team's work is the AHMEN Christmas Shoe Box Ministry, an annual initiative to spread joy and the message of Christ during the holiday season. Through this ministry, we provide Christmas gifts to children in Honduras, bringing smiles and the love of Christ to those in need.
